Perception House is a residential treatment program that provides a knowledgeable and compassionate staff along with a peer group that understands the emotional challenges of recovery. Each resident has the opportunity to take ownership of his/her treatment and recovery from the onset. Each resident develops their own recovery plan with a clinician. Recovery plans address behavioral health issues which may include social, legal, educational, and spiritual components.
Residents are responsible for making the house a safe place to live. They are expected to treat each other with respect and dignity. Residents share household responsibilities under the supervision of staff. Participation in this residential community builds confidence, offers opportunities, and can spark personal transformation.
WORKING TOWARDS RECOVERY
Our clinical team holds treatment groups twice a day, five days a week. Residents participate in structured treatment groups. Groups address such topics as trauma treatment, anger management, mental illness and substance use education, relapse prevention, spirituality, life skills, and medication management. Weekly individual therapy is also provided.
We provide a highly structured, effective, safe and supportive co-occurring treatment program. An adult no longer in need of inpatient psychiatric care or medical detoxification is eligible to receive treatment. No one is discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religious creed, marital status, national origin, sexual preference, or disability. All applicants will need to provide Perception House with a recent physical examination (30 days) and a clear TB result.
